$3765Join us for this amazing 5 day/ 4 night excursion exploring the beauty and marvel of Northern California.
Day one: We’ll take a luxury motorcoach to Chicago O’Hare Airport where we will fly direct to San Francisco. We’ll be met by our coach there and taken to our beautiful hotel, The Hotel Zephyr in San Francisco. Your evening will be free to explore.
Day two: After breakfast we’ll have a guided tour of San Francisco. You’ll enjoy lunch on your own and then we’ll take a ferry to Alcatraz, where we’ll have the chance to explore the windswept island, learn about the history and visit the Alcatraz Cellhouse. Next we’ll visit the Golden Gate Bridge’s Welcome Center and learn about this marvelous structure. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner together as a group. Your evening will be free to explore.
Day three: This morning we’ll meet our guide and be taken to see the Giant Redwoods at Muir Woods. These trees range in age from 400-800 years old with heights up to 250 feet. We’ll enjoy a group lunch before going to a Napa Valley Winery for a tour and tasting. Then we’ll go back to the city where you’ll have your evening free to explore San Francisco, maybe ride the trolley and have dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants.
Day four: This morning we’ll travel south to the town of Felton, nestled amongst the coastal Redwoods of California’s North Central Coast. Here we’ll board the Santa Cruz and Big Trees Railroad for a short ride through the forests and enjoy a barbeque lunch in historic Roaring Camp dating back to the late 1800’s. Next we’ll enjoy some free time in Monterey, CA with a visit to Old Fisherman’s Wharf, the heart of the area’s thriving fishing industry. You’ll get to enjoy the many restaurants and shopping opportunities. Tonight we’ll have a group dinner before you have your evening free.
Day five: After breakfast we’ll say goodbye as we leave our heart in San Francisco and return home!
